Thank you for your Trope Thesaurus Fantasy and Science Fiction Support!
This is a super fun project for me because I'm a fantasy author as well. Plus how just how cool is the supernatural:)
My Stretch Goal#1 is to reach $7,500 by Sunday October 8th Midnight PST.
For all backers at the $60 pledge level and above, I'm offering a How Secrets as Tropes Work in Fantasy and Science Fiction PDF. This is all new material! We know secrets are key in storytelling but to link them with tropes gives you SO much conflict. And we all love conflict in our stories...And you know I'm packing this sucker with examples to help you brainstorm and plot away!
Don't forget at the $60 level you still get my Tropes and GMC class, the digital book (and print if you are in US) and my upcoming vids on Tropes that are only for $60 level subscribers!
Please join me in supporting this stretch goal!
And thanks again for your support!
Talk soon,
Jen

Dear #TeamTrope,
It's been an exciting full week already! Trope Thesaurus Fantasy and Science Fiction was funded in about 90 minutes, and it earned a Projects We Love banner from Kickstarter! We just passed $3,500 and have 114 backers!
Thank you for the support as early backers! I'm super pleased with this project and can't wait to share it with you.
Because tropes and reader expectations are so important, I created a new video below you as a thank you. It features one of my favorite movies--Galaxy Quest. This story has great examples of tropes and genre expectations; I hope you find it helpful.
Next Thursday, I'll release another video (planning for six total) to all backers pledging at the $60 level and above. Don't forget at the $60 pledge level; you get my 1st Workshop about GMC and Tropes in Fantasy and Science Fiction plus everything in the pledge levels below that (TTFSF print book in the US); everyone gets a TTFSF digital copy and PDF trope sheet.
BTW, even Galaxy Questloves Goal, Motivation and Conflict...
“You’re just going to have to figure out what it wants. What is its motivation?” -Alexander
“It’s a rock monster. It doesn’t have motivation.” -Jason
“See, that’s your problem, Jason. You were never serious about the craft.” -Alexander
Enjoy!
Talk Soon,
Jen
